i try to be a friend
and you tell me I am being deceitful
i try to share my heart
and you tell me I am superficial
i try to tell the truth
and yet you persist with accusations
i talk about my faith
but you claim I am repulsive towards the Bible
i try to remain positive
still I hear I am not trying hard enough
looking back I find my fault
I realize
too accomodating
a continuating cycle
too much time wasted
my focus needs to be my focus
the same story told
unfortunate it never gets old
looking back I find my salvation
a repeating story
fortunate it rings with truth
my focus will be my focus
no need for deceit, superficiality, accusations or repulsion
I choose me
You choose you
No need to go back and fourth
thanks but no thanks

Missuse of Power - Media First
After watching the news for one hour I see two cases where Police are using their power to detain, manipulate the justice system and kill innocent people.
The American system of "Innocent till proven guilty" needs to be changed. Or actually, we either need to change the law to be incongruence with what the police and other public officials are doing or wee need to stop them from their negligent activities.
News Reports
- http://carlosmiller.com/ (Motorcyclist arrested for posting video.)
- Father Killed by New Jersey Detective in Park
http://www.ajc.com/news/gwinnett/family-will-ask-feds-574260.html?cxtype=rss_news
- Innocent Woman Fired Based on Accusation
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/07/20/agriculture.employee.naacp/index.html
What is particularly disturbing is we now live in an environment where sensationalism is the norm. News agencies are no longer reporting the news... they are making the news and in MOST cases making-up the news.
Fox 'News' is the MOST notorious but CNBC, MSNBC, HLN and CNN are also doing the same thing. All stations reported on the case of Shirley Sherrod condemning her initially along with the NAACP, USDA and the White House jumpin on the "FIRE HER" bandwagoon.
Why have we degenerated to this point? I believe it begins with the Media. Once upon a time Newspapers allowed for "get it right and get it first reporting." Well now it is all about "getting sensationally and reporting it first." We are living within a game show environment where everyone looks for the hype and the dirtier the story the more airplay is required.
We have degenerated into a full 5 hour a day special on Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson and in the case of Michael Jackson it was 20 hours daily for almost a week. Eye candy and slutty sensationalism trumps all... ratings, ratings, ratings.

Check the Numbers
'The British energy giant, which is also drilling two relief wells to try to halt the leak by mid-August, hopes the new containment system will funnel as much as 80,000 barrels (12.7 million liters) of oil per day to vessels on the surface -- more than three times the current amount.
"We're pleased with our progress," BP senior vice president Kent Wells told reporters on a conference call.
BP has another cap ready if the new system does not work.
It is also making final checks on a ship that will be able to siphon up to 25,000 barrels per day from the well, Wells said. BP expected the ship to begin processing oil on Sunday.'
-- Chris Baltimore with Reuters Reported 7/11/2010
If we do the numbers... at todays oil prices per barrel = $73 per barrel
80,000 barrels per day will create $5,840,000 per day
25,000 barrels per day will create $1,825,000 per day
Is it possible for BP to position themselves and have the oil captured paying off all present and future claims?
